Leadership Team

Maureen (Moe) Rinkunas bridges the gap between large organizations and the startup ecosystem. As the Director of Open Innovation at Corbion, she is building a portfolio of innovations in food ingredients, biochemicals, and green chemistry.
Previously, Moe has facilitated venture building and investment while at Coplex (a venture studio), DuPont Ventures (CVC), and Dreamit Ventures (a VC-backed accelerator). She also has extensive experience supporting new product launches and conducting due diligence for M&A in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology markets.
Having worked with hundreds of teams at organizations of all sizes from startups to Fortune 500 companies, Moe has seen the pinch points where things “get stuck” in the pipeline and has paved the way for the pursuit of early-stage growth opportunities with urgency and at scale. She shares this experience as an active startup mentor at 500 Startups, mHub, IndieBio, HITLAB, I-Corps, and other programs for early-stage entrepreneurs.
Moe has both a BS and MS in Chemical Engineering as well as an MBA in Corporate Entrepreneurship, all from Lehigh University, and she is an active alumna across multiple initiatives.

Mike is the Associate Director of Commercialization at University of Delaware’s Horn Entrepreneurship program. There, he supports the commercialization of novel technologies and helps science driven entrepreneurs to advance their businesses faster via high-impact entrepreneurial offerings, including the Blue Hen Proof of Concept (Incubator / Accelerator), Horn Lead Mentors (EIRs), UD Launch Fund (pre-seed fund), and ExpertConnect (mentor & service provider network).
Prior to joining UD, Mike worked with early-stage startups in developing growth, commercialization, and fundraising strategies at the Delaware Innovation Space, and Dreamit Ventures. Additionally, he is active in supporting startups via Mid-Atlantic Diamond Ventures (MADV), National Council of Entrepreneurial Tech Transfer, and as an independent advisor. To date, companies he has supported have raised more than $300M of venture capital.
He is a lifelong entrepreneur, founding his first business before graduating college. After graduation, he established, merged, led, and sold several boutique digital media & marketing companies.
Mike holds both Masters and Bachelors degrees in Industrial Engineering from Lehigh University. When not accelerating businesses, he can often be found in the cab of a steam locomotive while volunteering as a railroad locomotive engineer and conductor at Steamtown National Historic Site.
